Garden Club Lecture

Please join the Historic Pullman Garden Club and the Historic Pullman Foundation for the second of four presentations in the garden club’s 2018 Winter Lecture Series:

“GMOs – What You Need to Know”   

with Terri Reardon,  member of Illinois Right to Know GMO and a professional plant propagator

Sunday February 25, 2018, at 3 pm at the Historic Pullman Center, 614 East 113th St, Chicago IL 60628

This FREE event is open to everyone, refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes. The Pullman Historic District can be reached by taking the 111th Street exit west off of I-94 or via the Metra Electric Train Line, exiting on the 111th St/Pullman stop.

Terri Reardon, Professional Floriculturist-Propagator, will explain what a GMO is and address concerns over the proliferation of genetically engineered food crops.  She will also discuss seed diversity issues and concerns over pesticides used in these monocrop farming practices which create super weeds and contribute to environmental contamination.
